Skilled Workers are individuals who are qualified to apply for Permanent Residence in Canada, based on their their ability to become economically established in Canada. There is no Visa Office in Canada to process applications under this category. Applications for Permanent Residence in Canada under the Independent Class must be submitted at a designated Visa Post outside of Canada.

B. Additional Minimum Requirements:
You have at least one year of continuous full-time paid work experience or the equivalent in part-time continuous employment, and your work experience must be Skill Type 0 (Managerial Occupations) or Skill Level A (Professional Occupations) or B (Technical Occupations and Skilled Trades) on the Canadian National Occupational List, and you must have accumulated this work experience within the last 10 years.
The occupations listed in Section A above are either Skill Type 0 (Managerial Occupations); or Skill Level A (Professional Occupations) or B (Technical Occupations and Skilled Trades) on the Canadian National Occupational Classification list.
